It's green. It's mossy. It's a mossy green craftsman bungalow. Dig it people.Read More
Lauren Russell is the owner of this photo collection and in a brief email explained that her “…collection is part of an effort to bring attention to American architecture from 1900 to 1960, especially the architecture that was part of the Arts and Crafts Movement.”
The photo collection includes over 150 bungalow homes in the Portland area, catalog homes from Sears and other companies, and photos that depict exterior color schemes of historic homes organized by color (which in my mind is an excellent resource for those looking for authentic color choices).
After you’ve had a chance to check out Lauren’s photo gallery, hop on over to The Arts & Crafts Society (if you haven’t already) and check out her wildly popular website that aims to provide a place for the present day Arts and Crafts community to gather and feel at home.
OK, maybe it’s not a work of art, but MOCpages has a few bungalow LEGO creations to view, this one being the most impressive. I still think someone could create something better but what do I know? I haven’t played with these things since I was in 5th grade. This one IS pretty cool. I especially like the columns and garage…ok, I’m sounding like a dork so I’ll stop the LEGO talk. Just wanted everyone to see how far people can take their bungalow passion.
Can you create something better?
Bungalow Bob’s Pet Designs offers what I would say is hands down the most well-crafted pet furniture I’ve ever seen (seriously), and the fact that it’s bungalow style is icing on the cake. Have I died and gone to heaven?[SMACK!]
Yep, those were the pricetags bringing me back to reality. $350-800 is enough to buy a fairly nice bed for my daughter let alone an animal that ain’t got enough sense to disregard his own feces. That’s not to say if I was rich I wouldn’t buy any of these products. On the contrary. I’d have one of these beds in every room just to make a statement. Not sure what kind of statement, but would it really matter?
