Glass:
Wasauna’s Glass Bathtub
, although extremely contemporary, doesn’t come across as sterile – cold maybe, but there is a sleek quality about it that enables even I, the rustic, old fashioned guy could to envision owning one of these And the price tag, though somewhat high ($3,199), is manageable. Not my first choice in tub material, but I can see the appeal.

Wood:
Laguna’s Pearl Tub is a thing of beauty. There’s no denying that. Of course I dig hand carved wood so this one I hold a bit closer to my heart than the others. There is a highly resistent varnish applied to the wood that extends the lifespan of the tub and gives it that beautiful shine..

Stone:
Stone Forest
offers hand-carved granite tubs that are large in creativity and in scale. Basically, it’s a giant slab of granite so you better have some reinforced floors for this mammoth. Like something out of Jurassic Park, I find something both cool and wondersome about this one. I have to imagine this tub isn’t cheap, but it’s high quality stone with a lifespan that would probably extend beyond your own. The shipping and installation of this tub would be interesting, I’m sure. I see a crane and an open roof. No open roof? Then I see a big ass whole in your house ’cause this thing ain’t going up the stairs. But if you can get it to fit you’ll be the talk of the neighborhood!

Stainless Steel:
The Cerine Tub by Neo-Metro isn’t cheap ($12,947) but according to Stainless Steel The Green Material, it’s a sustainable material. And that’s good for all you “green” folks out there. The design on this model has an warm, Asian flair that you wouldn’t get with an all stainless model. At first I wondered how cold this tub would get, but apparently after being filled with hot water, the metal holds the heat quite well. Same can be said for the copper design below. This copper bath by Diamond Spas is complimented perfectly with a natural stone surround and warm fireplace. Ahhhh…you know, I’m not even a bath kind of guy, but this is a place I could imagine unwinding after a long day.
